Park Partners

Winchester Parks and Recreation partners with a number of local organizations to provide quality recreational sports and enrichment opportunities. Each organization has been approved by the City of Winchester Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Details on current Park Partners are listed below.

Winchester Baseball

Winchester Baseball, now in its 71st year, is the area's largest and longest-running youth baseball league providing an unparalleled experience around youth baseball. Age divisions are as follows:

4-5-year-old tee-ball,
6-7-year-old - machine pitch,
8-10-year-old player pitch
11-12-year-old player pitch
13-15-year-old player pitch.

Tee-ball and machine pitch are $50 per registration and all player pitch divisions are $100 per registration. The season begins in early March and concludes in late May.

Blue Ridge United Soccer

Blue Ridge United is a non-profit youth soccer organization that offers programming for players ages 3-18. Spring Recreational programs are currently underway. Blue Ridge United Recreational League is Volunteer-Driven; practice days will be based on what works best for the volunteer coach's ability. Any participation is greatly appreciated. BRU is always looking for coaches, assistant coaches, and team managers.

Shenandoah Valley Youth Lacrosse

Shenandoah Valley Youth Lacrosse Spring season: March 1- May 18. Saturday games, weeknight practices. Winchester, Clarke County, Front Royal, Harrisonburg, and Strasburg teams. All ages/grades and all levels welcome: Youth boys and girls grades 2-12. NEW 2024 Program for Spring - "Little Scoopers" - grades K-2.

Winchester-Frederick County Youth Tackle Football and Cheerleading

The Winchester Frederick County Youth Football League (WFYFL) has been in existence for more than 60 years and coaches are Heads Up Certified. WFYFL believes in safety first. Programs offered include:

7U Pee Wee Cheerleading
Sideline Cheerleading for ages 8-13.

Winchester BMX

Located in Jim Barnett Park, Winchester BMX offers an exciting sporting experience for the whole family! The season begins in April and runs through October. Classes are available for all ages and skill levels. Winchester BMX offers a one-day free trial, and the first race is free.

Winchester Swim Team

Winchester Swim Team (WST) Registration for the 2024 Spring/Summer Season opens April 1, 2024. Open to Swimmers Age 5 to 18. Competitive USA Training + local fun Shenandoah Valley Swim League Meets.
