Les is a local small business owner, operating his State Farm Insurance Agency since 1991. He was elected to the Common Council in 2008 and re-elected in 2012, 2016, and 2020. Les was voted Vice-Mayor in 2013, Vice-President in 2018 and Mayor in 2024. Les graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S in Chemical Engineering and a M.S in Civil Engineering. Les lives in Ward 1 with his wife, Sabra, three children, and labradoodle Cocoa.

If you would like to request the Mayor sign and/or present an official proclamation (must be for a recognized event or from a legal organization), please complete the request form below. Once your form has been submitted and reviewed, the City Manager's Office will contact you about your request. Complete all fields and provide as much detail as possible. Each year the Mayor presents an annual review at the first Council meeting of the new year to highlight accomplishments made in the previous year.

Mayor's Excellence Award

Do you know someone or a group of people doing great things in the Winchester community? Nominate them for the Mayor's Excellence Award by October 31. Award winners will be recognized at the December Council meeting and on the City's website and social media pages. Nominations accepted year-round.
